FAQs

Where is the festival located?

The Get On! ADV Fest is located on the 600 creek-fed acres of the Buffalo Chip Campground.

The address to the Buffalo Chip is: 20622 Fort Meade Way, Sturgis, SD 57785


Are RVs, Toy Haulers and trailers allowed?

Yes. There will be space designated for RV camping (Dry or optional Electric and Water hook-ups) in addition to space for tent campers.


Can I purchase parts for my motorcycle and have them installed there?

Yes. The RevZilla store will have ample stock of the most popular tires and tubes for sale. Tire installation is available on site at the Buffalo Chip Garage as well as a variety of motorcycle maintenance options on most makes and models of motorcycles (for additional fee).


Will there be new motorcycle models to demo?

Yes. BMW, CF Moto, Harley-Davidson Pan America, Triumph, Yamaha will all have their newest models of ADV motorcycles available for test rides at the festival.


Do I need a State or National Forest permit to ride the off-road trails?

Yes. You can purchase a permit when you purchase your ticket or at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip box office during the festival.


Can I rent a motorcycle?

Are there any ‘glamping’ options?

Yes. There are cabins and suites at the festival for rent while supplies last.


Can you buy a one day pass?

The admission ticket is only $99 and includes your access to the vendor village, test rides, clinics, raffle, goodie bag, routes and evening entertainment for one day or the entire three-day event. It’s worth the price even if you attend only one-day. But we hope you find a way to attend all three days.


Can I arrive a day early? Or stay an extra day?

Please contact the Sturgis Buffalo Chip campground to arrange accommodations before the Wednesday evening July 17 or after Sunday morning July 21st. A limited number of campsites and cabins are available.


Are tickets refundable?

This is a rain or shine event. Unless the event is canceled or rescheduled, there will be no admission refunds given.


I haven’t ridden off-road. Is the event beginner friendly?

Yes. A large number of attendees are new to adventure riding and riding their bikes off road. There is a beginner route option every day which is gravel road and double-track. There are beginner adventure riding classes available at the event. And finally there is a sport-touring/on-pavement route option every day.


Is there any place to cook? If not, can you cook with your own stove at the campground?

You are welcome to cook with your own equipment at the campground. There may or may not be restrictions on open fires depending on weather at the time of the event.

Does the campground have showers?

Yes. They are no charge and open 24 hours/day.


If you trailer your motorcycle, can you park your haul vehicle next to your tent at the campground?

Yes you can. And many do.


Are children allowed to attend?

Kids 15 and under are free. Max 2 per adult and must be accompanied by that adult at all times.


How can I sign up for classes?

We will have a link to register for riding classes here shortly.

Are Pets Allowed?

The spiel is what every responsible pet owner should know: pick up after your pet, leash them in public spaces, and if your pet becomes a problem we reserve the right to kick you and them out for any reason. Leave the kid eaters with uncle Ed at home.
